Character Claim: Marie, from the Aristocats
Character Name: Marie Leroux
Object: The pink bow she wore around her neck.
Biography: In her old life, Marie was the second oldest of three kittens and was often picked on by her brothers Toulouse and Berlioz. She often tried to mimic the mother Duchess’ proper behaviour and claimed herself to be a lady, only to go tell on her brothers as soon as they did something wrong. She was often daydreaming and could be clumsy at times. After a botched kidnapping attempt by their owner’s butler, the family meets the alley cat Thomas O’Malley who says he’ll help them get home, only to fall in love with Duchess. Upon arriving home, Marie and the rest of her family are put in a sack by the butler Edgar, who wants to mail them away. She was hit by the curse around the same time as O’Malley and is now living in Yensidia as Marie Leroux. She has not found her object yet, but feels drawn to the Alley Cats bar and hangs out with Nathan Scatt before the place opens each night, as she’s too young to be in there while it’s open. She still loves singing and dreams of being able to perform in front of everyone one day.
